TIM 'RIPPER' OWENS, JOE STUMP, AMANDA SOMERVILLE To Guest On DESDEMON Debut

March 9, 2011

Vocalist Mistress Tina has quit New York-based female-fronted progressive/gothic metallers DESDEMON. She said in a statement, "I've come to the decision that I don't want to be a part of this anymore. It's not my vision anymore. I'm not putting further damage to my vocal cords. I need to take care of myself."

DESDEMON is currently seeking a replacement singer. Interested parties can contact the group at [email protected] or [email protected].

DESDEMON's forthcoming debut album, "Through The Gates", is almost completed. It is described in a press release as "an epic 13 track journey that far surpasses anything the band has done before." As with "The Awakening" EP, Gaetano DiFalco again has provided the masterful illustrations for the albums cover and artwork.

"Through The Gates" will feature guest appearances by Tim "Ripper" Owens (JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, CHARRED WALLS OF THE DAMNED, BEYOND FEAR),Amanda Somerville (AVANTASIA, SOMERVILLE/KISKE, HDK, EPICA),Sander Gommans (AFTER FOREVER, HDK, SOMERVILLE/KISKE) and Joe Stump (HOLYHELL)
